Edinburgh 2010 |
The South Coast Climate Camp neighbourhood consisted of over 100 people at the last camp at Blackheath, London, in August 2009. We took 50 people to Copenhagen for the COP15 in December while at the same time maintaining a climate camp presence in Trafalgar Square for the duration of the talks. We were also heavily involved with the Vestas Solidarity Camp on the Isle of Wight for five months until the November 09 eviction. In January this year we held our first ever regional gathering in Lewes, East Sussex, attended by 60 people. We continue to work on organising actions on climate change, in our region and nationally.
